This project is an exploration of the fourth dimension’s speculative materiality via my understanding of its intangibly theoretical existence and my imagined vision of that reality formed into an immersive installation space.

This artwork will take form through studio experimentation with video, programming and sculpture, with a focus on employing live video in the creation of feedback loops that produce altered video output for each viewer, inspired by artist Daniel Crooks’ innovative approach to using video as a material manifestation of time.

I see my practice as a transmission of ideas from uncertain dimensions, uncomplicated by the limitations of language and driven by my desire as a viewer for immersive artworks that give perceivable form to intangible ideas.

I wish to offer the viewer a disembodying experience through; their physical presence within the detailed installation space and as a recognisable character in the video projection.

Studio research will be lead by research into established ideas of the fourth dimension and my imaginative interpretation of the concept, in order to investigate the experience of time as a never ending present moment that supersedes the future.
