During the development of this work (AKA right now) there was a time in which the video filter worked in such a way that when the subject was still, they became invisible. This was unsatisfactory in terms of the projects aims, from an aesthetic point of view and because Art gallery viewers are conditioned to 'participate'/view artwork in still and quiet consideration. Opening the possibility that the viewer could 'escape', perhaps not physically, but in stillness reclaim their material presence. Of course they can escape at any time, however it’s my goal to perform a kind of enchantment on the viewers sense of self. I’m temporarily abducting their present-tense and performing a material reversal that proposes the hyper plain’s materiality in exchange for a dissolving subject captured in a technologically assisted dimensional loop.

There is a kind effervescent nature to the dimension reversal that is mirrored between the programs alternating loop through 0 - 255, from black to acid green and magenta to black and the subject’s consciousness recognising their trans-dimensional dematerialisation.

Ephemerality? Entanglement? Ephemerality? Entanglement? Ephemerality? Entanglement? Ephemerality? Entanglement? Ephemerality? Entanglement? Ephemerality? Entanglement? Ephemerality? Entanglement? I would like to argue that this work is ephemeral, whilst the object has a continuing presence in it’s materialised dimensionality, it’s inactive presence is a kind of beautiful zombie, it may capture your interest as an aesthetic object, it’s unlikely however that the object alone could adequately communicate the speculative material reversal without the dissolved subject and their representative projection. I am proposing that the artwork takes place primarily within the temporal lobe of the subjects mind, I would argue this is the primary 'site' for all artwork, however I possibly havent prepared enough evidence for that argument today.

The point of entanglement for a visual artwork lies in the viewers brain between the limbic system and the temporo-occipital junction, the common denominator between viewers is obviously the visual stimuli AKA the art object.
